The Hidden – 3-minute short film produced 1996 together with Jonas Åkerlund

Filmen har varit förfilm till skräckfilmen ”Scream” på Filmstaden Söder och även visats på Arvika Rockfestival, New York Film Festival, Z-TV, Umeå Internationella Filmfestival, Cité de la Musique i Frankrike, Videoteket, New Zealand Film Festival, Grand Prix Internationale/VideoDance, och Message to man Film Festival i Ryssland.

Nine long-haired women are clothed in ankle-length beaver-nylon gowns with 3,5 meter long sleeves. Each woman stands in front of a her own water-filled wooden barrel and behind each of them there is a hot griddle.

One or several of the women grab the edges of the barrel, thrust down their heads, remain in the water for a moment, and then return to a standing position. The movement of the hair describes an arc and hits their backs with a clear crack. The water strikes the hot griddles with a clear sizzle, a cloud of steam rises to the ceiling. They whip the barrells with their long, wet sleeves. They dive into them…

A 3-minute short film produced 1996  together with Jonas Åkerlund from Pettersson and Åkerlund.

Also performed at the large squares of Stockholm, Uppsala, Sundsvall and Umeå during 1999-2000.

Watch the video clip from the version at Sergels torg in Stockholm October 15th 1999, as a part of the 25th anniversary of Kulturhuset. This version of course with 25 participant women. The piece is 28 minutes long.
