The Clone – Sergels square, Stockholm

What does it mean to risk your life for art or science? And what does progress really mean? A step forward, a step closer to the goal – or to the abyss?

12 meters up in the air above The Sergels square, a tightrope walker starts his journey along the high-wire, along the narrow path of existence. As he travels along the thread of life, he creates an exact copy of himself, a copy that gets electrified and begets a life of its own.

”The Clone” was performed as part of The Stockholm Arts and Science Festival at 8.00 pm 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28 September 2002.
