Amour Fou – Gothenburg Film Festival
A man and a woman meet in an apartment somewhere in a city, somewhere in Europe. But something goes wrong. Memory and reality fall apart in this short drama of black-and-white stills where a love story comes to an end.
Amour fou is performance artists Carina Reich and Bogdan Szyber’s debut as filmmakers and is developed together with producer and filmmaker Ylva Julén. Chris Markers “La jetée” (1962) inspired the telling of the story using only black- and-white stills and a voiceover. The result is horror as much as romance…
